Everything started a few years ago when my brother, a cello professor, approached me with a unique request. He asked me to create a specialized accessory called a “Cello needle end stopper” for my niece, who was just starting to learn the instrument. Little did I know that this simple request would set in motion a series of events that would lead to the establishment of our very own workshop.

At the time, I was already skilled in working with guitars, performing setups, repairs, and customization. However, the idea of crafting a niche product for cellos intrigued me, and I eagerly accepted the challenge. With my background in guitar craftsmanship, I believed I had the necessary skills to create the end stopper.

But as I delved deeper into the project, I quickly realized that creating the perfect cello needle end stopper was more complex than I had anticipated. I needed to learn entirely new skills and techniques to bring this idea to life. I embarked on a journey of exploration, determined to master the art of precision engineering.

The first step was to familiarize myself with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines—a technology used in precision manufacturing. I immersed myself in studying the intricacies of CNC machines, understanding how they worked and how they could be programmed to produce precise components. It was a steep learning curve, but I persevered.

Simultaneously, I dived into the world of 3D design software. I had to learn how to transform my ideas into digital models, ensuring that every detail was accurately captured. Hours turned into days, and days into weeks as I honed my skills and pushed the boundaries of my creativity.

Once I had a solid grasp of CNC machines and 3D design software, I began creating product models. With each iteration, I refined the design, considering the ergonomics, functionality, and aesthetics of the end stopper. I collaborated with my brother and niece, gathering their feedback and incorporating their insights into the development process.

The next phase involved manufacturing and testing prototypes. I sourced high-quality materials and meticulously crafted each component, ensuring that they met the strict standards required for a cello accessory. Through trial and error, I fine-tuned the design, making adjustments based on feedback from fellow musicians and professionals in the field.

As the prototypes evolved, so did the customization options. I recognized that musicians have unique preferences and sought to provide them with tailor-made solutions. Whether it was adjusting the weight distribution, exploring different materials, or incorporating personalized engravings, I wanted to create end stoppers that reflected the individuality of each musician.

With time, my reputation grew, and musicians started seeking my expertise not only for cello end stoppers but also for other customized accessories. Word spread about the quality and craftsmanship of our products, leading to requests for guitar modifications, instrument repairs, and other specialized projects.

And thus, our workshop was born. What initially began as a simple request from my brother had transformed into a thriving business venture. Today, we continue to push the boundaries of innovation, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern technologies to create unique musical accessories and customized instruments.

The journey from guitar setups to mastering CNC machines and 3D design software was not easy, but it was undoubtedly worth it. It opened up a whole new world of possibilities, allowing us to cater to the needs of musicians in ways we had never imagined. And as we look back on how it all began, we remain grateful for that single request—a catalyst that propelled us into a world of creativity, craftsmanship, and musical expression.

Our Services

bogo workshop is a boutique music instruments workshop, specializing in handcrafted products. We take immense pride in our unique approach to production, which is entirely “order-based” and tailored to each customer’s specific requirements. Unlike traditional manufacturers, we do not maintain a stock of pre-made items. Instead, we engage in direct communication with our customers upon receiving an order to discuss any additional requests or preferences they may have. This personal interaction ensures that every product we create is fully customized, resulting in a musical instrument that perfectly suits the customer’s needs and preferences.

The decision to adopt an order-based production model is driven by two primary factors. Firstly, we prioritize customization as a core value of our workshop. We firmly believe that musical instruments should be a reflection of the individual artist’s personality and style. By allowing customers to customize various aspects of their instrument, such as the design, materials, and finishes, we ensure that each piece is a unique masterpiece crafted exclusively for its owner.

Secondly, with a vast catalog of over 1000 products, we have consciously chosen to avoid mass production. Our focus lies in maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail. By limiting the number of orders we undertake at any given time, we can devote ample time and resources to each project, guaranteeing exceptional quality and meticulous craftsmanship.

We understand the significance of customization in the world of music. That’s why we take a friendly and consultative approach, engaging in open and thoughtful conversations with our customers. By carefully listening to their preferences, we ensure that each instrument we craft is a unique reflection of their artistic vision.
