We decided to try something new and make our routing templates out of Acrylic plates, which are 6 mm thick. The first step was to test it and see how it performs. We had to adjust the speed and RPM of our mill to get a decent cut. It took us a few tries to get it right, but we managed to make some progress.
The testing model we created was not perfect, but we learned a lot from it. We realized that we needed to increase our cutting speed and lower the mill RPM to get a better cut. It was a great learning experience for us, as we had never worked with this material before.
Acrylic is a versatile material that is commonly used in the manufacturing industry. It is known for its durability, clarity, and ease of use. We wanted to see how it would perform as a routing template, and so far, it has shown great potential.
There are many benefits to using Acrylic for routing templates. It is lightweight, which makes it easy to handle, and it is also resistant to shattering, which makes it a safer option. Additionally, it is easy to clean and maintain.
Overall, we are excited about the potential of Acrylic routing templates and look forward to exploring its capabilities further. Stay tuned for more updates on our progress!
